Anjuli and I greatly enjoyed our time in Hong Kong. We spent a fair amount of it getting back into shooting film, which is so easy to do here. The number of camera shops, film processing labs, and people running around the city shooting with film cameras is simply astounding. We've never seen so much film photography gear in our lives.

Here are some picks from our first few rolls. The first two shots are in Connecticut just before we left, the rest are in Hong Kong. They were all taken with a Leica M7 and 35mm ASPH Summicron and shot on Kodak Tri-X 400. We developed most of them ourselves in our little room here with the help of our new friend Dan K, a film photography wizard based in Hong Kong.

Dan helped us put together a mobile darkroom so we could develop our own black and white film while traveling. We have a small development tank, a film changing bag, scissors, developer, fixer, and little clips to hold the film so it can dry. That's it!

So far we have tried a few different developers: Rodinol and HC-110. We have tried stand development and normal development. We've tried different dilutions, timings, agitation schedules, and so on, and we're having a lot of fun seeing how differently the film comes out (especially for me, who has never done it before).
